Rabat in one day

For a first visit, keep the route simple: Hassan, the medina, then the Oudayas. You can enjoy the city without trying to see everything. Save museums and Chellah for another day if you prefer a slower pace.

Organise your outing

Start at Hassan, then walk or take a taxi to the medina depending on your energy. Take a proper lunch break before the Oudayas. This is a suggested route, not a timed tour: skip a stop if you arrive late and leave time to reach your station or accommodation.

Places to explore

01
The unfinished minaret and its column-lined esplanade are defining landmarks of Rabat. Combine your visit with the nearby Mohammed V Mausoleum.
02
Opposite Hassan Tower, the mausoleum belongs to the same sightseeing area. It offers a pause for architecture and remembrance in a quiet setting.
03
Discover the medina through its shopping streets and crafts. Rue des Consuls is a useful starting point for a first walk among shops and smaller lanes.
04
Ramparts, lanes and gardens make the Kasbah a rewarding stop on foot. Start here before continuing towards the medina or the coast.
05
Below the Oudayas, the beach offers an Atlantic-facing walk and a change of scenery after exploring the Kasbah.
